Mycopunk All Bosses: Every Boss and Where It Spawns

Mycopunk has three boss entries and one boss event that behaves like a fourth: Amalgamation, Cranius, the Necky Wormy Boss, and the Abomination variants that act as mini-bosses. This page is the data sheet — health multipliers, arm counts, spawn maps and rewards. Fight strategy belongs on the guides site.

Quick answer

Boss data table

Boss Type Tags Shell HP × Legs Arms Spawns
Amalgamation Boss Difficult 1.25 3 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 Flourishing Desert (Amalgamation Hunt)
Cranius Boss Gunner — 5 4 Singularity, Crash Site
Necky Wormy Boss Boss Stationary 1.25 4–6 — Event and story encounters
Abomination Abomination — 2.2 4–6 3–6 Any mission with an abomination spawn

Amalgamation

The recurring boss. 3.75 move speed, 30°/s turn speed, three legs, and an arm count that scales with party size: 4 arms solo, 5 with two players, 6 with three, 7 with four. It regrows limbs every 2.5 s after a 4.5 s cooldown, which is the single most important number in the fight: you cannot disarm it permanently.

Its exclusive reward pool is Amalg1Upgrades, and it has its own skin pool (Amalg1Skins). Full schedule and rewards are on the /guides/mycopunk-weekly-boss page.

Cranius

Cranius is a gunner boss with five legs and four arms, and the only boss with a 2.2× leg health multiplier. 50°/s turn speed and 3.75 move speed make it the most mobile boss in the game.

Its cores are scrap cores at 4000 health each, and its arms carry either an Engram Gun Tip or an Engram Autocannon Tip (50/50). It spawns on the Singularity and Crash Site maps, both in Gravity Farms.

Patch 2.0.1 fixed the Cranius achievement, which had been failing to unlock on kill.

Necky Wormy Boss

A stationary boss: 0 move speed, 0 turn speed, 1.25× shell health, four to six legs and a 100% arm chance. It cannot chase, so every version of the encounter is a positioning check rather than a chase.

Abomination variants

The abomination tier contains ten entries, and six of them are boss-flavoured:

Variant Tags Shell HP × Notes
Abomination — 2.2 Baseline mini-boss, 3–6 arms
B0X3R Gunner, Tall 2.0 Four legs, box body
CR4T3R Gunner, Tall 2.0 Four legs, box body
Devastator Gunner, Oxythane 2.0 Three legs, two parts
Elemental Abomination Gunner 1.25 Elemental attacks
Laser Abomination Gunner 1.25 Four-legged laser platform
Shotgun Abomination Gunner 1.25 Close-range variant
Sniper Abomination Gunner, Sniper 1.25 Long-range variant
Slicer Gunner 1.25 Five legs, melee
TripodBoss — 1.25 Six legs, 4.5 move speed, 100% hit stun

The Abomination achievement only counts the true Abomination, not its variants — a detail that catches players who spend an evening killing B0X3Rs.

Where bosses appear

  • Amalgamation — Flourishing Desert, Amalgamation Hunt (level 8+), and as a random ambush in other missions
  • Cranius — Gravity Farms, on the Singularity and Crash Site maps
  • Abominations — Population Control, Ground Zero, Ouroboros and Overtime assignments
  • Amalgamation in Ouroboros — every fourth room, with the final boss room at 28

Rewards at a glance

Boss kills feed the mission reward table rather than dropping loot on the floor. Amalgamation Hunt pays 5 random upgrades, 2 skins, a fixed upgrade and 2 Saxonite on first completion; repeat completions roll from Amalg1Upgrades at 10% and a fixed upgrade at 45%.

FAQ

How many bosses are in Mycopunk?

Three boss-type enemies (Amalgamation, Cranius, Necky Wormy Boss) plus ten abomination-tier mini-bosses, of which six read as bosses in play.

Does the Amalgamation have a fixed spawn?

It spawns on the Amalgamation Hunt assignment in Flourishing Desert and can ambush crews in other missions. It also appears every fourth room in Ouroboros.

Which boss drops exotic upgrades?

Amalgamation, through the Amalg1Upgrades pool. The guaranteed exotic comes from the first-completion table, not from every kill.

For the rest of the reference set, the enemy database lists every body and breakable part, and the resources guide explains where each map material drops.

Sources

Enemy part, armour and shell values come from the Mycopunk 1.0 build, cross-checked against the official patch notes and the Steam store page. Spawn and mission wording follows the Steam guide index where player reports were the only source.
