All 38 Mycopunk enemies: grunts, brutes, abominations and bosses with shell health, leg and arm counts, overclock chances and the part system explained.
Mycopunk Enemy Types: Full Bestiary
Mycopunk's 1.0 build contains 38 enemy entries: 15 grunts, 15 brutes, 10 abominations and 3 bosses, plus barrels, eggs and environmental hazards that share the same part system. Every enemy is built from parts — a shell, arms, legs and cores — and which part you shoot decides what drops.

The part system
An enemy is not one health bar. It is a shell plus limbs: arms that hold weapons, legs that carry it, and cores embedded in the body. Breaking a limb removes the attack attached to it, and shooting a decayed part below 10% health makes it fall off entirely.
That is why the same enemy takes wildly different amounts of time depending on where you aim. A shielded brute with two arms loses both weapons before it dies; a grunt with no arms just dies.
Grunt roster
| Enemy | Tags | Move speed | Shell HP × | Legs | Arms |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Grunt | Exploder | 14 | — | 4 | — |
| Grunt Bomber | Flyer, Exploder | 12 | — | 2–3 | — |
| Grunt Pulser | — | 6.75 | — | 3–4 | 1% |
| Grunt Sniper | Gunner, Sniper | 6.75 | — | 3 | 1 |
| Longleg Grunt | — | 7.5 | 2 | 4 | 1 |
| Missile Pod Grunt | Gunner, Oxythane | 6.75 | — | 3–4 | 1 |
| Photon Hoarder | — | 6.75 | — | 3 | 1 |
| Pixie | Flyer, Support | 14.5 | — | — | 1 |
| Scavenger Grunt | — | 28 | — | 3 | — |
| Crawler | Crawler | 16 | 1.7 | 4 | — |
| Fungus | Stationary | 0 | — | — | 5 |
| Bees | — | — | — | — | — |
Grunts are the volume enemies: fast, low health, and mostly dangerous because they arrive in waves. The two that matter are the Grunt Sniper, which has an actual weapon arm and will kill you from across a map, and the Crawler, whose 1.7× shell multiplier makes it the tankiest grunt in the game.
Brute roster
| Enemy | Tags | Move speed | Shell HP × | Legs | Arms |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brute | Gunner | 5.5 | 0.5 | 4–5 | — |
| Barrel | Exploder | 14 | 0.5 | 4 | — |
| Acid Pisser | Flyer, Tall | 12.5 | 0.75 | — | — |
| Brute Charger | — | 5.5 | 0.5 | 3–5 | — |
| Brute Flier | Flyer, Gunner | 6 | 0.5 | 4 | 2–3 |
| Brute Sniper | Gunner, Sniper | 5.5 | 0.5 | 2 | 2 |
| Egg | Gunner | 9 | 0.7 | 4 | — |
| Elemental Brute | Gunner | 5.5 | 0.5 | 4 | 1 |
| Hedron | Gunner, Tall | 5 | 0.5 | 4 | 5 |
| Lasercopter | Flyer, Tall, Difficult | 12.5 | 0.75 | — | — |
| Missilehead | Gunner, Oxythane, Difficult | 5.5 | — | 4 | — |
| Shielded Brute | Gunner, Shielder | 5.5 | 0.5 | 4 | 1–2 |
| D-19 Dart | Gunner | 9 | 0.5 | 4 | 1 (1P), 2 (2P), 2 (3P), 2 (4P) |
Brutes are slower and built around one weapon each. The Shielded Brute carries a shield that has to be broken or bypassed, the Brute Sniper has 2.5× leg health so it cannot be staggered by shooting its legs, and the Hedron has five arms and a 10°/s turn speed, which makes it a stationary turret platform rather than a chaser.
Barrel is listed as a brute because it uses the same part rig, but it is a 12× leg-health prop that explodes. Egg and D-19 Dart are environmental spawn units.
Abomination roster
| Enemy | Tags | Move speed | Shell HP × | Legs | Arms |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Abomination | — | 3.75 | 2.2 | 4–6 | 3 (1P), 3 (2P), 4–5 (3P), 5–6 (4P) |
| B0X3R | Gunner, Tall | 3.75 | 2 | 4 | 3 (1P), 3 (2P), 4 (3P), 5 (4P) |
| CR4T3R | Gunner, Tall | 3.75 | 2 | 4 | 3 (1P), 3 (2P), 4 (3P), 5 (4P) |
| Devastator | Gunner, Oxythane, Difficult | 3.75 | 2 | 3 | — |
| Elemental Abomination | Gunner | 3.75 | 1.25 | 4–6 | — |
| Laser Abomination | Gunner | 3.75 | 1.25 | 4 | 4 (1P), 5 (2P), 5–6 (3P), 5–6 (4P) |
| Shotgun Abomination | Gunner | 3.75 | 1.25 | 4–6 | — |
| Slicer | Gunner | 3.75 | 1.25 | 5 | — |
| Sniper Abomination | Gunner, Sniper | 3.75 | 1.25 | 4 | 3 (1P), 4 (2P), 5 (3P), 5–6 (4P) |
| TripodBoss | — | 4.5 | 1.25 | 6 | — |
Abominations are the mini-boss tier: 1.25–2.2× shell health, three to seven arms depending on player count, and a 35% hit-stun chance instead of the 50% brutes get. They spawn inside normal missions (Population Control, Ground Zero, Ouroboros) and are the enemies that make threat 6+ missions feel different.
Boss roster
Three entries carry the Boss type: Amalgamation, Cranius and Necky Wormy Boss. Their stat blocks, spawn maps and rewards are on the /guides/mycopunk-bosses page.
Overclock
Every enemy has an Overclock chance: grunts 0.1%, brutes 10%, Missilehead 50%. Overclocked enemies hit harder and take more damage, and they are the reason a wave you have cleared twice can suddenly kill you. OverclockedWave is also a fixed spawn group inside Ouroboros.
Stationary and flying units
Stationary enemies (Fungus, Necky Wormy Boss) never move and have 0 turn speed: they are turrets, and the counter is line of sight rather than movement. Flying enemies (Grunt Bomber, Pixie, Brute Flier, Lasercopter, Acid Pisser) ignore terrain and are the reason vertical movement on the employee kit matters.
FAQ
How many enemy types are in Mycopunk?
38 entries in the 1.0 game files, of which 15 are grunt-tier, 15 brute-tier, 10 abomination-tier and 3 are bosses. Some entries are props rather than enemies.
What is the shell in Mycopunk?
The shell is the main body health bar. It is multiplied per enemy (0.5× for most brutes, 2.2× for an Abomination), which is why two enemies with the same base health die at very different speeds.
Do enemies respawn during a mission?
Only through scripted waves. Missions with the Population Control or Purge objective spawn new waves on hotspots; most other missions have a fixed population.
If you are planning what to open next, the upgrade grids explained page covers node shapes and rarity, while the threat levels page shows what the harder tiers actually pay.
